Legal secretary by day. Flower loving florist by night (and weekend). Like many of our students, Celeste kept her day job while studying with Pearsons School. This meant she had an income AND was also able to get her weekly flower fix!
What did you do before starting at Pearsons School of Floristry?
I work full time as a legal secretary but was always interested in floristry so decided to enrol in for the Saturday course. It works for me as I can learn and still have an income. I started in February and graduated in September. It was the perfect option!
Why did you choose to study with Pearsons?
I had heard wonderful things about the school and found it very convenient that the flowers are included in the fees as I would not have had time to go to the markets every week. The offer of weekend courses was also a huge factor in my decision.
What’s your flower crush?
I absolutely love sunflowers, they are happy, vibrant flowers that make me smile.
Who or what inspires you?
I am inspired by out of the box ideas and individuality. I love the vintage forest look.
What advice would you give to someone wanting to do the course?
If you are considering enrolling, I strongly recommend Pearsons. It’s a great family orientated company and there is so much help and knowledge offered! The teachers and other students provide fabulous support.
What’s next for Celeste Elliott?
I am currently doing weddings in my spare time but would love to pursue floristry on a full-time basis. Such an incredible industry!
