What did you do before starting at PSF?
I worked as a Personal Assistant in the legal industry. I also had a small business making baby shoes & accessories as a creative little side project!

Why did you choose to study with us?
Pearsons School of Floristry appealed to me because of the flexible study options. I started the course attending one day a week on Saturdays, then changed to fast track the course by studying two days a week. I could structure my classes and set a timetable that suited me. It was perfect.

What is your favourite flower?
Flannel flowers. They are amazing. I also have a "thing" for succulents. I love using them in my designs.

Who or what inspires you?
Like most creative people, I go to for inspiration to Instagram and Pinterest. I am online all the time. It's the place to be.

What advice would you give to someone wanting to do the course?
When I signed up to Certificate III, I lived in Tamworth which is about four hours drive away from Sydney. I travelled back and forth to school for about 6 months. It was tiring but so worth it. I loved every minute of the course. My advice to those thinking of doing Certificate III is ... FOLLOW YOUR PASSION and don't let anything stand in your way. Not even an 8-hour car trip!

What's next?
Its early days. I want to get as much experience as I can and build up a strong portfolio. Long term, I'm working towards opening my own studio for wedding styling and online flower retail.
