Terms

These are the terms and conditions on which Pearsons School of Floristry ("we", "us" or "Pearsons") provides floristry courses to you ("Course Terms").
By booking a course via our website, email, telephone or any other method, you agree to be bound by these Course Terms.
Please read these Terms carefully before booking.

Pearsons School of Floristry is a Registered Training Organisation based in Australia.

Course Status

The Career Course is a non-accredited course. It does not lead to a nationally recognised qualification under the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF).
The course is designed for personal enrichment, creative development, and practical, industry-led floristry skills.

Bookings and Contract Formation

The information provided during booking, together with these Terms, forms the legally binding contract between you and Pearsons ("the Contract").
A booking is confirmed once you receive a confirmation email.
Please ensure your email and contact details are accurate. You must notify us immediately of any errors.
Courses are conducted in English. Teachers may vary, and we do not guarantee specific content, outcomes, or arrangements depicted in promotional materials.

Fees and Payment

Course fees can be paid in full at the time of booking, or with a deposit followed by weekly or monthly instalments.
All fees are in Australian dollars (AUD) and include GST.
Fees include all flowers, materials, and workbooks.
Payment methods accepted: credit card, debit card, or bank transfer (by prior arrangement).
While we aim for accuracy, if a course is listed at an incorrect price, we will notify you and you may choose to cancel or proceed at the correct fee.

Cancellations and Transfers

Course Transfers
• Requests to transfer to another course may be considered at our discretion and subject to availability.
• Transfers are not permitted once a course has commenced.

Our Cancellation Rights
• Courses require minimum student numbers. We may cancel if numbers are insufficient.
• If we cancel, you may be offered a credit, transfer or receive a full refund.
• We may end the Contract without refund if you fail to pay, cease attending without notice, behave disruptively, provide misleading information, or health/safety risks prevent participation.
• We may cancel due to events beyond our control, in which case we will refund or transfer your booking.

Missing a Class / Unplanned Absences

To enhance your learning experience, you must attend all classes. Please be aware of your options if you miss a class.
• No refunds are provided if you do miss a class.
• You may be able to attend a catchup class if one is available, which will incur a flower and administration fee.
Additional conditions may apply.

Planned Absences

If written notice is provided at least ten business days in advance, the student may be able to attend the same class on another day or month at no charge, subject to availability.
A place in another class is not guaranteed but depends on schedules and student numbers.
Contact Pearsons Student Support for assistance with this.

Non-Australian Residents

Please provide Australian contact details if available.
Confirm your course booking before making travel arrangements. We are not liable for travel or accommodation costs.
You are responsible for securing the appropriate visa.
If you are refused entry into Australia, no refund will be given.
If your visa is delayed, we may, at our discretion, transfer you to another course.
We may request a copy of your visa prior to course commencement.

Allergies, Health and Safety

Please notify us of allergies or specific needs at the time of booking, and no later than one week before the course begins.
While we try to accommodate, adjustments may not always be possible.
You must follow all health and safety instructions, including wearing appropriate clothing and closed footwear.
Failure to follow safety instructions may result in removal from the course without refund.

Complaints and Dispute Resolution

We aim to provide a positive learning environment.
Concerns or complaints should be sent to school@pearsonsflorist.com.au
We will acknowledge complaints within five business days and aim to resolve them within fourteen business days.
If unresolved, you may escalate to the Pearsons School of Floristry leadership team.
You may also seek independent advice from consumer protection agencies such as NSW Fair Trading.

Liability

Nothing in these Terms affects your consumer rights.
We do not exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence.
We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by your actions, or circumstances beyond our control.
We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or business losses.
We are not liable for allergic reactions unless caused by our negligence.
Our liability is limited to the amount paid for the course.

Personal Information

We will process your personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Photographs and Social Media

We may take photographs or video during courses for marketing purposes. Please notify us if you do not wish to appear.
If you post course content online, please credit us using @pearsonsschool and hashtags #pearsonsschooloffloristry #pearsonscareercourse.

Intellectual Property

All course materials remain the intellectual property of Pearsons and may not be copied or used without permission.
Students may take home arrangements created during the course.

General

If any provision of these Terms is found invalid, the remaining provisions remain enforceable.
Delay in enforcing rights does not waive enforcement later.
Termination of the Contract does not affect accrued rights.
You may not transfer your rights under this Contract without our permission.
The Contract is governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Any disputes will be subject to NSW courts.
