Celebrating Our Certificate III Students in the WildFlowers Australia Competition

We’re excited to celebrate six of our Certificate III in Floristry students who have taken the opportunity to put their skills and creativity to the test in the WildFlowers Australia National Student Floristry Competition.

The competition gives floristry students from across Australia the chance to showcase their design skills while working with Australian native and South African wildflowers and foliage. It’s a wonderful opportunity to explore new flowers, push creative boundaries and experience the excitement of designing for a national competition.

Running in its current format since 2008, the competition is open to Certificate III floristry students studying through registered training organisations across Australia. Each year brings a new design challenge, encouraging students to explore Australian native and South African wildflowers and foliage while developing their design, research and presentation skills.

For 2026, the theme is ‘Happy Birthday!’, with students challenged to create a hand-tied bouquet using seasonal flowers. At least 75% of the plant material must be Australian native or botanically related South African wildflowers and foliage, encouraging students to discover the incredible variety of locally grown flowers available to florists.

We’re incredibly proud of our six Pearsons students who entered this year:

Taking part in a competition is a fantastic way to challenge yourself, build confidence and put the skills developed in the classroom into practice.
