Fabulous Opportunities for Work Experience

Behind the scenes of a large-scale luxury wedding

At Pearsons School of Floristry, we recognise the value of getting ‘real world’ experience alongside your studies. Which is why work experience is a key focus for us and we encourage and support our students with work experience opportunities.

The floristry industry is trend driven, fast paced, and ever changing, one of the things we love about it, however this means that staying ahead of game is crucial to being industry ready.

Students can complete work experience with Pearsons Florist or with other florists, and we have strong relationships with many high-profile florists in the industry.

Recently a team of students were fortunate enough to be part of an amazing wedding with the incredible John Emmanuel Floral events.

We caught up with the lucky students who took part in this fabulous event, all who have recently graduated and asked them what it was like to be part of the construction of a wedding that took -
3,000 stems of white roses

1000 bunches of foliage
65 chandeliers
20 florists and 3 days to build!

John is a fabulous supporter of the school and we have had the pleasure of working alongside him over the years with our students. John has taught a Master Class at the school, has given his time to speak with our students at student evenings and regularly offers work experience places to our students.

Work experience is a mutually beneficial relationship, Florists recognise the quality of Pearsons students and students reap the benefits of working alongside top florists, networking with other students and often gaining paid employment from the experience.
