Pearsons School of Floristry blooms in brilliance at the Royal Easter Show!
Last week, one of our talented trainers and a few of our lovely students participated in competitions at the Royal Easter Show. It was truly inspiring to see their confidence shine through as they participated and excelled in different events. We are all incredibly proud of their achievements.
A special congratulations to Duc, our Career Course trainer, who collaborated with his mentor and trainer, Jeff, to create a beautiful textured and layered design for the RAS Floral Designer Competition, securing first place!
Additionally, we want to extend a big congratulations to Agnes for winning the Surprise Box competition, and to Eve for receiving a Highly Commended award. Well done, everyone!
Duc's Floral Entry
"This year theme was "Fleur Couture". Created by a team of two within 8 hours, the display features layers of colours, textures and depths. (It turned out much better than I thought.) The design process was great though, from interpreting the brief, communicating ideas on paper to making things practical that 2.5m tall."

Our Students Floral Entry
"It was my first time to sign up to the Easter Show competition. This Surprise Box competition is for the students who are currently attending SFL30115 Certificate III in Floristry. I found myself just fit into this category so i just gave it a go as my completion date for my Cert III Floristry course is by July 2024.
It was an enjoyable experience not only getting the prize but most important were meeting other passionate exhibitors and hearing the feedback from the Judge.
Lynne, was my base medium teacher, big thanks to her!"
- Agnes, current Career Course student.
"Exhibiting at The Royal Easter show was such a great experience. I entered with the encouragement of my teacher, Deb. It was a fun, challenging and enriching day, and made all the better by being able to share it with my wonderful classmates.
I was delighted (and surprised!) to discover I received a 'Highly Commended' for my bouquet. The competition provided an opportunity for me to reflect on how much I have learnt on my journey with Pearsons so far. I am grateful for the teacher who have shared their extensive knowledge and skills over the past six months. Their generosity, dedication and kindness is very much appreciate."
- Eve, current Career Course student.
