The world’s biggest and most prestigious floral design competition 7th - 9th September 2023- The Interflora world cup!

There is always something exciting happening in the world of floristry and at the moment all eyes are on the UK for the prestigious Interflora World Cup.

What is the world cup you ask? - according to Interflora, it could be described as The Olympics, crossed with Chelsea flower show with an added bit of drama!

This highly prestigious floristry competition brings together exceptional florists from all over the world. The contestants will battle it out in a series of timed heats to win the ultimate title of Interflora world cup champion.

The UK are hosting the Interflora world cup for the first time, in September 2023, with Manchester chosen as its host city. 

Launched in 1972, the Interflora World Cup has taken place in many cities around the globe including Melbourne in 2004. That year, David Denyer from the UK won and it was very exciting.

The current reigning world champion is the amazing Bart Hassam from Australia!

In Philadelphia 2019 the amazing talent that is Bart Hassam took away the prize.

Bart is an incredible florist with a presence in our industry unrivalled by many and he will be in Manchester this year giving demonstrations and teaching special master Classes at the event.
