The Smart and Skilled program allows students to enrol in the Pearsons Career Course with partial fee subsidies provided by the NSW government.

ARE YOU ELIGIBLE?

To study with Smart and Skilled funding at Pearsons, applicants must be:

  • 15 years old or over
  • No longer at school
  • Living or working in NSW
  • An Australian citizen, Australian permanent resident, humanitarian visa holder or New Zealand citizen.

SMART AND SKILLED CRITERIA FOR ENROLMENT AT PEARSONS

Pearsons receives funding for a limited number of students each financial year under the Smart and Skilled program.

We cannot guarantee or hold any places, funding is limited.

Other important information:

  • To receive Smart and Skilled funding, you must commit to the 9-month study option.
  • It is mandatory that you attend every lesson, in person (33 days in class at Stanmore).
  • You must allocate a minimum of 20 hours per week to complete your studies. This covers classroom sessions, homework, assignments and work experience.
  • This course is a combination of in class study and home study.
  • You must be flexible as to when you can study, the days are either a Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday or Saturday. We will take your preference into consideration however cannot guarantee your preferred day.
  • Your study schedule for the first clusters will be published two weeks before commencement.
  • You will need to complete all 21 units of competency, by meeting your assessment milestones to complete the qualification successfully.
